Celebrate 70 Years of Disneyland with Scentsy’s New Collection

Some anniversaries deserve a little extra sparkle — and Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary is definitely one of them. To honor seven decades of wonder, scents, color and unforgettable memories, Scentsy has released something truly special: our very first Scentsy Diffuser and Oil collaboration with Disney. Whether you’re a devoted Disney fan, a diffuser lover or an avid collector, this limited-time celebration collection is one you won’t want to miss.

A Diffuser That Captures the Heart of Disneyland

The Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary Celebration: Sleeping Beauty Castle – Scentsy Diffuser is more than décor — it’s a tribute. This premium diffuser features the beloved Sleeping Beauty Castle wrapped around the glass shade, showcasing the landmark that has welcomed millions of guests since 1955.

At night, the shade comes alive with a fireworks display inspired by one of Disneyland’s most iconic traditions. Using the same eye-catching technology as Scentsy’s Stargaze Diffuser, it even includes Mickey-shaped fireworks and a special appearance from Tinker Bell lighting up the sky. When the diffuser is on, the whole piece glows and sparkles like a nighttime spectacular — and honestly, it’s stunning.

For collectors, this is especially meaningful: once the 70th Anniversary Celebration concludes in August 2026, this diffuser will retire permanently.

A Nostalgic Scent Made for the Celebration

To complement the diffuser, Scentsy created a brand-new fragrance:
Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary: Happiest Celebration.

This cheerful scent is all about nostalgia — inspired by the orange groves where Disneyland was originally built. It blends:

  • Orange blossom
  • Caribbean coconut
  • Vanilla sugar

It’s uplifting, sunny and perfect for spring and summer. Better yet, you can enjoy it two ways: as a Scentsy Bar and as a Natural Oil to pair with the anniversary diffuser.

Limited Edition. Collector Worthy. Disney-Loved.

If you love unique pieces that stand out in your Disney collection, this is your moment. These products will only be available during the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration — and once they’re gone, they won’t return.

1. Disneyland was built on old orange groves — literally.

Before construction began in 1954, the land in Anaheim was filled with orange and walnut groves. Walt Disney wanted a place where families could enjoy experiences together — so the farmland became the future site of The Happiest Place on Earth.
(This is why the Happiest Celebration scent inspired by orange blossoms is such a perfect nod!)

2. Disneyland opened on July 17, 1955 — and the opening day was… chaotic.

The very first day is lovingly referred to as “Black Sunday” because:

Counterfeit tickets doubled attendance

Women’s high heels sank into the freshly paved asphalt

Rides broke down

Drinking fountains didn’t work

Traffic was so bad that guests abandoned cars on the freeway
And despite all that? Walt Disney declared the day “a dream come true.”

3. Only five attractions from opening day are still operating today.

These original classics remain:

Jungle Cruise

King Arthur Carrousel

Mad Tea Party

Peter Pan’s Flight

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride

4. Sleeping Beauty Castle opened four years before the movie.

The castle debuted with the park in 1955 — but Sleeping Beauty wasn’t released until 1959. Walt had the castle named early to help generate excitement for the film.

5. It took less than a year to build Disneyland.

Construction began on July 21, 1954, and the park opened July 17, 1955.
Just 362 days — a nearly impossible timeline by today’s standards.
