There are movies you watch once…and then there are movies that somehow become part of your fall personality.
Practical Magic is definitely the latter.
The 1998 cult favorite gave us the Owens sisters, a gorgeous Victorian house we all secretly wanted to move into, a family curse, plenty of witchy chaos and, of course, one of the most iconic kitchen scenes ever committed to film: Midnight Margaritas.
Now the Owens women are having quite the moment.

The Owens Sisters Are Back
If it has been a while since your last Practical Magic rewatch, the original movie stars Sandra Bullock as Sally Owens and Nicole Kidman as Gillian Owens, two sisters born into a family of witches with a rather unfortunate problem: The men who fall in love with Owens women are doomed by an old family curse.
Sally tries desperately to live a normal, magic-free life, while Gillian takes a slightly more adventurous approach to…well, pretty much everything.
Add Stockard Channing as Aunt Frances and Dianne Wiest as Aunt Jet, and you have one of the most wonderfully unconventional families in movie history.
Nearly three decades later, the Owens women are returning.
Practical Magic 2 brings Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman back as Sally and Gillian, along with Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing as the beloved aunts. The next generation is getting involved too, with Joey King and Maisie Williams joining the story as Sally’s grown daughters.
In other words, the coven is getting back together.
